Although most of my jewelry is one-of-a-kind, there are several styles
that I often create variations of. You can order any of these styles
and have it customized just the way you like it. Be sure to tell me
the size, color or stone, and whether you want sterling, copper or gold-vermeil
clasps and accent beads.
I make a wide variety of necklaces, and they can be customized to your
personal style. Be sure to tell me the length you want, color or
stone, whether you want sterling, copper or gold-filled clasps and accents, and what
type of clasp you prefer.
The simpler style of necklace is a single strand of a stone or glass
bead, with accent beads in another stone

or glass bead. These usually have sterling or gold-filled spacers to
set off the accent bead.
Fresh water pearls and some stones start at $35, amber necklaces and
other stones usually start around $50. If you would like to include handmade
copper enamel beads (3 - 7) as the accent beads, this would add $10 to $20
to the cost. Many of my necklaces are priced from $35 to $75, though
some more unusual stones may be a bit more.
Let me know what I can create
just for you.
As I have worked with a variety of stones and studied geology over the
years, I enjoy making my "Geology Lessons to Wear™" necklaces.
These are

single strand necklaces of stones that are related to each other in some
way, sometimes surprisingly so. Each is unique, and is accompanied by
an information card about the minerals. These are usually about 20 to
22 inches long, and are priced from $50 to $75 in most cases. Recent
examples include all the colors of tourmaline, tigereye, garnet, goldstone,
beryl (emerald, aquamarine, heliodor, and morganite), and feldspar
(gray, peach and rainbow moonstone, labradorite, sunstone and amazonite) .
Other examples might include natural glass (several obsidians and a
tektite), iron (hematite, pyrite, and marcasite), lapis and pyrite, all the
copper minerals (malachite, turquoise, azurite, and chrysacholla) and so on,
depending on the stones I have available. Some of these are shown on
the Picture Gallery page.

another, I like to combine them with coordinating seed beads and
make short dainty necklaces to go with something special. These are
usually about 16 inches long, but have an extender chain in the back so the
length can be adjusted. These are usually priced between $30 and $40.
I also like to create necklaces of multiple strands. These often
combine several stones and may include glass seed beads as well. They
may be intertwined or the strands may fall loosely, and they may be gathered
up into a single focal bead in the center. These necklaces are usually
16 to 20 inches long, and usually range in price from $45 to $95. An
example is shown in our Picture Gallery,
"Mermaid's Dream".
I greatly enjoy beading and creating one-of-a-kind necklaces.
Usually these pieces will feature a special cabochon or focal bead, with the
beadwork accenting the design of the focal piece. Most of these will
be featured images in the Picture Gallery or on
one of the other pages of my site. Please
let me know if you would like me to
create one especially for you. Because these are very labor intensive,
and use specially handmade stones or beads, they will often be more
expensive, usually in the range of $100 to $200.

Bracelets and anklets differ mostly in the length. A standard size
bracelet is about 7 inches long, and a standard size anklet is about 10
inches long. But wrists and ankles vary in size, so we can make yours
the length you need - just let us know what size.
I usually use one main stone, possibly an accent stone,

and often some accent beads in sterling silver, gold-filled, or gold vermeil. I most often use a spring ring, lobster
claw, or toggle clasp, as these are the easiest to operate one-handed.
Prices range from $15 to $50 (most commonly $15 to $25), depending on the
stone and the length.I have also had fun making some anklets for summer
wear that are sterling silver chain with several ( 5 to 7) little dangles
around the ankle. These might be special glass beads (little hearts or
tie-dye beads, for example) or pastel colored mother of pearl shapes in
stars, discs, or moons, for example. These are usually $30.
I have developed a passion for beadwork and often try out new design
ideas in bracelets. There are several styles that I enjoy making.
These close with a button and loop or beaded toggle, and I have fun picking
just the right button to complement the bracelet design. Here are some
of the designs I enjoy.
 |
The simple version of
this wave design uses a larger bead with a swirl of seed beads around it
in a complimentary color. These are $20. The more complex
version shown here has a ruffle of beadwork instead of a single line, and will be
$30 or $35. |
|
These bracelets are
known as "chaotic peyote" stitch (a perfect stitch for me), even though
it is not exactly a peyote stitch. The seed bead design will be
accented with stone or glass beads that compliment or contrast with the
seed beads. These are usually $40. |
|
Another striking look
is my version of the Dutch spiral. This design uses several colors
and sizes of beads to achieve a spiraling design. Priced at $50. |
|
My ripple bracelets
are an adaptation of a design from Jelcy Romberg. These feature a
flat back and multiple ripples of beads down the front, giving a very
lush appearance. I usually make these in one color, but color
combinations are also possible. These are usually $75-$95. |

beads, sometimes accented with Swarovski crystals.
These may have one or several stones or beads, usually with sterling or
gold-filled or Swarovski accents, with one to three drops. I like these because they move
and call attention to themselves, but are not heavy. They range in
price from

$10 to $35, depending on the stones or beads and how complex the
earrings are.
